User. If you specify a Visual Quality user id here, the field User Id in the Login dialog will be pre-filled with this.
Alt. system directory. This is no longer used.
Server directory. In a client/server setup this contains the Visual Quality installation directory on the server. This can either be a map (drive letter on the client machine) or a share on the the server expressed as a UNC path, e.g. \\VQServer\VQ, where VQServer is the name of the server, and where VQ is a share for the Visual Quality installations directory on the server. If you haven't created a share you must provide the full path to the VQ installation directory on the server. Is Visual Quality installed in c:\program files\visual quality on the server, you should specify \\VQServer\c$\programmer\visual quality as Server directory.
On the server, in a client/server setup, this field should be left blank.
Language. Select the UI language for Visual Quality. On the server in a client/server setup the selected language will be used as default for Visual Quality Web Access.
Database. Specify the startup database for Visual Quality. This will be pre-selected in the database list in the Login dialog for Visual Quality.

Startup command. This is no longer used.
Startup message. The message is displayed in a dialog box which appears just after the user has logged in to Visual Quality.
Advanced. For internal use only.
UI Navigation Style. Select between two different themes for Visual Quality.
Web application. Must be set to Visual Quality Web Access.
